The Tool The Agent Could Not See

An order lookup is required and never happens, and nothing in the run reports an error.

The incident

A customer replied to a support answer three days after receiving it: the order the agent told them was delivered had not arrived.

The agent had answered an ORDER_STATUS request about ORD-4412. It said the order was delivered on 11 March. The order record says IN_TRANSIT, last carrier scan 13 March.

The contract for an ORDER_STATUS request requires the agent to invoke lookup_order before answering. The run completed in 900ms with no error, no exception, no retry and no failed span.

That is what is known. Nobody has read what the agent was holding when it answered.
